Tupac Will Be Inducted Into The 2017 Rock n Roll Hall Of Fame By Snoop Dogg

The ‘2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted’ artist will be inducting his counterpart on the song into the acclaimed Rock And Roll Hall of Fame.

Snoop has mentioned many times in interviews that he is the sole reason Pac was signed to Death Row Records back in the 90’s and they were friends even years before their collab on ‘2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted’. Snoop is the only confirmed artist to be involved in Makaveli’s induction performance, but there are a few other artists whose involvement is expected.

One of them being Dr. Dre, who was inducted last year into the hall. Dre produced Pac’s hit “California Love” and would be a welcome edition, making the induction even more of a memorial for the late honoree.

The ceremony takes place April 7th at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center where many artists, including Snoop Dogg, will perform and honor artists who have made a lasting impact on the music community. Tupac will be inducted along with 6 others: ELO, Yes, Journey, Joan Baez, Nile Rodgers, and Pearl Jam.

In order to be considered, an artist’s work has to be at least 25 years into the game and they must still influence artists to this day. It makes sense that Tupac is included, he has sold over 75 million records worldwide, is known as one of the greatest artists of all time, and continues, even after death, to influence and inspire many artists and rappers alike.

The rapper left us at the young age of 25, but our memory of him is everlasting. Check out the video below:
