Bruno Mars had a hit with “That’s What I Like,” but it didn’t last long when matched up with the hottest DJ/Producer’s new song. Khaled said before it was even released that “I’m The One” was going to be #1. Now, only one week later, the song is #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100. Of course, it was not a solo effort.
Firstly, Dj Khaled called upon his son for assistance. That is no surprise especially considering Asahd is the executive producer of the Roc Nation artist’s new album Grateful. Aside from enlisting help from the young star, he also brought Justin Bieber, Quavo, Lil Wayne, and Chance The Rapper in on the project. Those features completely set up the song for success with both pop and rap influences.
Huge congrats are due to Khaled for the collab which has already gathered over 88 million views on Youtube. It is the DJ’s first #1 hit on Billboard’s Hot 100 and it’s expected there’s only much more to come. Quavo and Chance also earned their first with Justin and Wayne earning their 4th and 3rd, respectively.
As Khaled continues to rake in the blessings, we are just counting the days until the Grateful release.
