JAY-Z’s New Album Exclusively On Tidal This Friday

After years of Obama lunches, business meetings, and three children, JAY-Z has officially announced his latest project, 4:44.

It comes as sort of a surprise from JAY considering everything he has been involved in as of late. Tidal is booming right now and the new twins are here, so aside from features like “Shinin’,” no one was expecting the busy businessman to grace us with new music. Nevertheless, here it comes, and although we know nothing of what to expect, except that it’s an exclusive Tidal release, anticipation is high. Better go and cop a Tidal subscription like the 3 million others ready to listen.

Thankfully that’s not the only option, though. Let’s not forget Sprint’s $200 million dollar buy into the company in January. That means if you have Sprint, you now have 6 months free of Tidal!
(Congratulations. Maybe the exclusive access to Tidal can ease the pain of consistently dropped calls.)

Another thing up in the air are the featured artists. Who is on the album? And who isn’t? It’s fair to guess J.Cole, one of his Roc Nation artists, might appear on the album. JAY-Z also took to Twitter recently, before deleting it, to shout out some pretty unexpected artists. Playboy Carti was mentioned, Jay assured us he wasn’t drunk, for his “incredible” hit Magnolia and Tyler, the Creator was also recognized. Those are only 2 names out of the 90 represented in 13 total tweets. Queen Latifah, Kendrick Lamar, LL, and Quavo were a few other named. That’s why a guess at who will be featured is a little tricky.
One thing we do know for sure is the release date, this Friday, June 30th. There is also a fan listening party scheduled in only 9 cities nationwide the day before. With 3 parties in New York and 2 in Los Angeles, that leaves room for only 7 others elsewhere. You can also expect Sprint stores in Atlanta, Miami, Las Vegas, Chicago, Boston, Philly, and DC to stay open late and host the exclusive listening event.
