Charlotte 4th of July: Where Should You Be?

It’s Hot. I mean reeeally hot. Quite possibly one of the hottest summers we’ve had in Charlotte, but I wouldn’t know, I am no weather woman.

I like to stick to talking about things I know inside and out. Hence today’s topic, CHARLOTTE, or better yet what to do while you’re in town for Fourth of July weekend.

Whether you are in the mood for outdoor activities or hitting a nightclub, below you’ll find a bit of both, two events taking you from day to night!

In true Charlotte manner, the day starts off downtown with a full day of activities starting at 2pm. The Sky Show Street Party has been happening for a couple years now and takes place between Mint Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in front of BB&T Ballpark. It lasts 8 hours, ending at 10 pm, and is full of kids activities, free American flags, food trucks, vendors, live music, and spirits for those of us who are 21 and up.

Some food trucks you can expect to see are: Two Chicks & a Truck, Librettos, Fresh Med, Fun Oh Cakes, and more!

Entry is free and open to the public, but be sure to bring some extra cash for food and a blanket for the biggest firework show in the southeast starting at 9pm!

After seeing such an epic light show, you won’t be ready to stop there and there’s only one place really shutting the night down, Club One. Charlotte’s Premier Nightclub features two levels, with two DJs, and a patio right in the center of The Music Factory, Charlotte’s hottest scene for nightlife! In general, it’s the spot to be, but come Holidays, I’ve never seen a more packed facility.

Considering Club One is known for bringing some of the hottest artists out, it comes as no surprise that Hoodrich Pablo Juan will be the celebrity for the night. With hit songs like “We Don’t Luv Em” and “Yeah Yeah,” the venue is bound to be packed so getting tickets early is highly suggested. (If you need tickets, click here.)

I will be at both events, so I hope I see you there! If you are interested in booking VIP for the evening you can text 980-785-4754 as well.

I hope all the Charlotte natives and those of you swinging by have a safe pre-celebration weekend, remain precocious of your surroundings and don’t drink and drive; that’s what Uber is for.
